Names Taken from Jacques-Louis David

"The Sisters Zénaïde and Charlotte Bonaparte" by Jacques-Louis David
Jacques-Louis David lived from 1794 to 1825. He painted in the neoclassical style, and his style was vastly different from the Rococo style - which was beautiful but frivolous - and made way for more severe, serious work. David was a friend of Maximilian Robespierre, and was essentially the director of arts under the French Republic.
