Darcey Bussell                                     Fitzwilliam Darcy ( P & P 2005) I'm back with a name game. It was really interesting seeing the results of my two "This or That's", so I figured I would continue on and come up with another. In this one, for each name listed you will add what gender you prefer it on or see it as. Let me know yours and I'll list mine. Morgan Devon Hollis Greer Taylor Winter Sasha Joss Shannon Aubrey Briar Harper Darcy Flannery Mel River Jaimie Nikita Indiana Kelly Jordan Rory Alex Casey Kit Riley

What Middle Names Would You Give to the Darling Boys?

Image
John, Michael, and Wendy in "Peter Pan" 2003 In "Peter Pan", Wendy's full name is given as Wendy Moira Angela Darling. Her brothers are John Napoleon Darling, and Michael Nicholas Darling. It may just be me, but it always irks me when one sibling has more middles than the other. So what one new middle name would you give to the Darling boys? Bonus: Give their parents, Mary and George, middle names. My choices: John Napoleon Rory Darling Michael Nicholas Finnegan Darling Mary Winifred Darling George Edgar Darling

La Belle et La Bête

Image
Jean Marais and Josette Day as the original "La Belle et La Bête" Coming out on Valentine's Day (at least in France) is a remake of Jean Cocteau's classic "La Belle et La Bête", made in 1946. In this version, the beauty if simply referred to as "Belle", which I find to a disappointment. There is so much naming potential there. Her sisters are called  Adélaïde and  Félicie, both lovely French names. What would you name the beauty? Something rosy perhaps? Or just  extravagantly  French? My choice is Rosemonde, which is both rosy and French.

Name Game!

This is something I used to enjoy doing on my previous blog. Every one post one boy, and one girl name, going by the guidelines I have given. Then, later on, I will pick the winners. Boy : First name must be the name of a bird, middle name must be a diminutive of a classic name, e.g. William, Thomas, Jonathan. Girl : First name must be the name of a authoress, and middle name must be taken from a star, or constellation. Mine : Harrier Wilkin and Djuna Cassiopeia Have fun! WINNERS: Sylvia Altair from Dellitt, and Peregrine Teddy from CaitieO. Runners Up: Lark Geordie and Anais Vega, both from fire-throne.
